What IslandMarket is
IslandMarket is a marketplace and storefront platform. Shoppers can browse live inventory and send an inquiry or open WhatsApp with a vendor. IslandMarket does not process payments, hold inventory, or complete the sale. The vendor is responsible for confirming availability, price, pickup, and fulfillment.
Accounts
- You must provide accurate contact details and keep your password private.
- Email confirmation is required before a new hosted account is treated as verified.
- We may suspend an account that is abusive, fraudulent, or used to break the law.
Inquiries and WhatsApp
Submitting an inquiry saves your name, phone, location, and order summary for the vendor. Opening WhatsApp sends you to WhatsApp with a prefilled summary. Message rates and WhatsApp terms apply to that conversation.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to access another vendor's private records or admin tools.
- Do not scrape, overload, or interfere with the service.
- Do not use IslandMarket to offer illegal goods or to harass vendors or staff.
Availability
The service is provided as-is for this MVP. Listings, maps, and email delivery can be delayed or unavailable. We may change or pause features while the product is in staging or early production.
Liability
Vendors set their own prices and availability. IslandMarket is not a party to the sale and is not responsible for product quality, missed pickups, or disputes between shoppers and vendors. To the extent allowed by law, IslandMarket is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
